From the 20 horse Western Days Clinic to the 600 horse World Percheron Congress, from the Hereford sale of 38 head to the Manitoba Livestock Expo showcasing over 500 head of cattle. The Keystone Centre can accommodate all.
Annually, the Keystone Centre partners with the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba to host the region’s three largest fairs.
The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair March 27 – April 1, 2017 features internationally world-renowned equestrian participants, over ten cattle shows, numerous competitions and clinics showcasing every horse breed and association imaginable as well as entertainment for all ages.
The Manitoba Summer Fair June 7 – June 11, 2017 is another community favourite that features 5 days of Midway rides and food, tradeshow vendors as well as a variety of entertainment and agricultural education opportunities for local schools.
The newly branded, Manitoba Ag Ex will return October 26 – October 28, 2017 as Manitoba’s Largest All Breed’s Cattle Show featuring a Commercial show, Junior and Prospect show and sale, Jackpot Bull & Heifer show and the Supreme Breed Extravaganza. This year they will also feature a Bull Riders of Canada sanctioned event, Westman Wild on October 30.
The Keystone Centre is committed to supporting local organizations, and relies on their support to attract the national and international events related to their breeds and activities. Agriculture is more than animals, it is also education and information.
The Keystone Centre annually hosts MB AG DAYS – 500,000 square feet of space is turned into the largest agricultural tradeshow imaginable. Under one roof, you can learn about every new product, invention, idea process or piece of equipment. This three-day event in January boasts over 600 displays and 30,000 visitors.
Westoba Credit Union Ltd. Agricultural Centre of Excellence
The Westoba Credit Union Ltd.Agricultural Centre of Excellence is 100,000 square feet of show ring, stabling, wash racks, show office and canteen all under one roof connected to the main facility.
There is approximately 6 acres of outdoor development including camping, large truck and trailer parking, and outdoor sand and grass equestrian show rings.
The show ring has the ability to be used for trade show or other space requiring a cement floor with ease. The sand and clay can be easily removed and stored indoors, making way for a multitude of other events requiring wide open spaces.
A 200′ x 85′ show ring features a clay and sand arena, complete with permanent seating for 700 spectators, judges stand, sound system, washrooms, excellent lighting and easy access. Corridors adjacent to the show ring connects to a 150′ x 65′ practice ring and 3 stabling barns adequate to fit 158 stalls.
There is easy access, controlled heating and lighting and two wash bays accomodating 6 animals each.
As versatility is the key to accommodating events of every imaginable activity and size, space connected to the Agricultural Centre of Excellence, the Canada Room, Exhibition Hall, City Square and two NHL size arenas have all been designed to easily convert into space to accommodate animals.
The Centre offers all of the required amenities to make your event a success including on site camping, canteen service, full banquet and convention services, fully licensed and over 1,500 hotel rooms in the community.
